Chandrayaan-3 landing on August 23: Which other missions are already active on Moon?


 As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, there were several missions and landers that were either active, planned or had recently concluded on the Moon. However, I don't have real-time data and my information might be outdated. Here are a few missions that were either active or planned around that time: Change Missions (China):
Chang'e 3: Landed on the Moon in 2013.
Chang'e 4: Landed on the far side of the Moon in 2019.
Chang'e 5: Successfully collected lunar samples and returned to Earth in 2020.
Chang'e 6 (planned): Intended to bring back samples from the lunar south pole.
Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) (NASA): Launched in 2009, LRO has been actively orbiting the Moon, collecting detailed information about its surface and environment.
Artemis Program (NASA): This program aims to return humans to the Moon. Artemis I is an uncrewed test flight of the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and the Orion spacecraft, intended to launch in the future.
VIPER (Volatiles Investigating Polar Exploration Rover) (NASA): Planned for launch in the mid-2020s, VIPER will explore the Moon's south pole to study the distribution of water ice on the lunar surface.
Lunar Gateway (NASA and international partners): This is a space station that will orbit the Moon and serve as a staging point for future lunar missions, including Artemis missions.
Bereshit (Israel): Israel's lunar lander attempted to land on the Moon in 2019 as part of the private Bereshit mission, but unfortunately, it crash-landed.
Yutu-2 (China): This rover is part of the Chang'e 4 mission and continues to explore the far side of the Moon.
Lunar Orbiter Missions: Several countries have launched smaller lunar orbiter missions for scientific research and exploration.
